Each commisssion is dealt with individually so that the design exactly meets your requirements. The following steps explain a little more about the design process.

Client Consultation and Initial Site Visit and

During this visit we will explore exactly what you want from your garden. We discuss who lives in your household, how they each would like to use the garden, what they like and dislike and how much time and money you want to spend achieving and maintaining it. You can also view Ground Designs' portfolio of previous designs. For clients within a 15 mile radius of Camberley, there is currently no charge for this initial visit. For gardens further affied, there will be a charge to cover travel time and costs.

Quotation and Terms of Engagement

A written quotation and terms of enagement letter is provided soon after all Client Consultations. On receipt of signed copy a date for the Site Survey can be agreed.

Site Survey

The Site Survey collects detailed data about the actual garden itself. Specialist measuring equipment is used to measure the boundaries, the slope and the garden orientation, as well as information about the position of windows and doors on the house and the location of existing features such as sheds, garages, drains, existing trees and mature shrubs.

Analysis and Initial Design

By understanding exactly what you require and having detailed knowledge of your existing garden, we can then analyse in depth how the perfect design can be achieved. Initial sketches and plans are drawn up, images which help to explain the concept are compiled and a design meeting is held to discuss these embryonic plans.

Final Outline Design

Any feedback from the design meeting is analysed and then a detailed, fully coloured, scaled outline plan is produced. Tree varieties, significant shrubs and planting style for each bed is indicated. Coloured accompanying sketches, cross sections and perspective drawings are produced as necessary.
